# TruAnon

> TruAnon is an inherently safe digital identity system: people are trusted by choice, not by force. Members "anchor" the accounts others already know them by, then grant or revoke who can see them. Trust is shown as a continuous rank — not a checkmark — and no government ID or document is ever collected.

- You have profiles because people need context; TruAnon makes that context legible and hard to fake.
- One anchor per network: a person gets one Bluesky, one GitHub, one of each — multi-account schemes don't help.
- No ID documents and no central dossier — nothing is collected that the member doesn't choose to show.
- Rank is earned, continuous, and revocable; it is never for sale and never reduces to a single checkmark.
- TruAnon does not interfere with a platform's offering — people use it because the platform makes it valuable to do so.
- Risk is removed because responsibility transfers back to the owner: the person stands behind their own identity.
